Intro to DevOps + Computer Science Foundations
A 16-week Level 1 cohort designed to help students understand computers, operating systems, Linux, GitHub, scripting, networking, and beginner DevOps workflow. Students can participate locally through our Chicago community hub or join online from anywhere in the country.

Student Capacity
The cohort is designed for focused learning groups. Each session is planned for up to 15 students, with online and in-person participation options.
Tuition
Tuition is $3,500 for the full 16-week cohort. Payment plans, sponsor-a-student options, and scholarship review may be available.
Hybrid Learning Model
Local enough to build community. Online enough to reach the nation.
Students in Chicago may participate through our community-based learning partnership with Mama Sherry at the historic Bronzeville Society Center. Students outside Chicago may join online through live virtual instruction and recorded learning access.

This program is designed to bring positive traffic, energy, and opportunity into the location by connecting students, parents, instructors, business leaders, and community partners around education, technology, and future workforce development.
Level 1 Roadmap
16-week learning journey
This is not a random coding class. Students begin with computer science foundations and move step by step into Linux, GitHub, scripting, networking, and beginner DevOps workflow.

Linux System Health Check Project
Students complete a beginner technical project that demonstrates command-line confidence, documentation, scripting, and presentation skills.
Students will create:

- • A README file explaining their work
- • Linux command screenshots
- • A simple Bash script
- • A short final presentation
- • A certificate of completion
Continuous Learning
A level-based pathway, not a one-time class
Students begin at Level 1 and may continue through a structured Decipher IT learning pathway. Each level builds on the last so learners understand what they are learning, why it matters, and what comes next.

Level 1 gets students started. Levels 2–7 build the foundation. Levels 8–16 prepare learners for enterprise systems work through real-world simulation practice using DOPE Codex.
Enrollment Process
How families reserve a cohort seat
Decipher IT uses an application-first enrollment process. Families apply first, then approved students receive next steps for session selection, payment options, parent/guardian consent, and onboarding.

Families complete the student interest/application form with parent or guardian information.
Step 2
Review
Decipher IT reviews student fit, session availability, and learning goals before confirming next steps.
Step 3
Confirm Seat
Approved families receive payment options, including full tuition, deposit, payment plan, sponsor seat, or scholarship review.
Step 4
Begin Cohort
Students receive orientation details, class access, recorded learning access, and weekly expectations.
